Today's smart phones should always be considered part of your forensic examination plan in investigating and litigating a case. Don will discuss types of potential data on smart phones, techniques for recovering and preserving data, and the challenges and duties to preserve the information. Don will cover retrieval of email, voicemail, text messages, location data and more.
Participants will receive instructions for recovering phone data and timelines to keep in mind for obtaining information from carriers.
This presentation will include a live examination of an iPhone.
Don is an attorney by background and a former Supervisory Special Agent with the FBI, last in charge of the White Collar Crime and Computer Crimes unit in Sacramento.
