Judge Roman was appointed to the bench of the Sacramento County Superior Court in 2007. He previously served as an Administrative Law Judge for the State of California Office of Administrative Hearings from 1994-1997. Judge Roman is a former Deputy Attorney General for the State of California from 1992-1994 and a former Deputy District Attorney for Solano County from 1980-1991. He was in private practice from 1976-1980. Judge Roman received his J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of Law in 1976. He earned his LL.M. in International Banking Law from Boston University Law School in 1992. He also received a M.S.S. degree from the Army War College in 2000. Judge Roman was a member of the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General Corps from 1981-2007. He is admitted to the bars of California, Colorado, the District of Columbia, and Texas.
