Judge Van Camp was appointed to the bench of the Sacramento Superior Court in 1997. He previously served as Senior Partner with the law firm of Downey, Brand, Seymour & Rohwer, 1990-1997; Partner with the firm of Van Camp & Johnson, 1978-1990; Partner and "of Counsel" with the firm of Diepenbrock, Wulff, Plant & Hannegan, 1974-1977. He was Commissioner for the State of California Department of Corporations, 1971-1974; Assistant/Acting Secretary for the State of California Business & Transportation Agency, 1970-1971; and Agency Attorney with the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Sacramento, 1967-1970. Judge Van Camp earned his LL.B. from UC Berkley, Bolt Hall School of Law, 1965.
