Daniel J. Coyle is a partner in the Labor and Employment Law Group at the Sacramento based firm of Downey Brand, LLP, where his practice focuses exclusively on employment and labor matters for management. He represents private and public employers in all aspects of employment litigation and counseling, including defense of wage and hour matters, class actions, discrimination, wrongful termination, post-termination due process hearings, trade secrets and competitive business practices. He also advises clients on employee relations, litigation prevention and preparation of employee handbooks, contracts and severance agreements. Mr. Coyle is a frequent speaker on employment issues, including prevention and defense of wage and hour claims. He has been named to the Best Lawyers in America in the field of employment law and has received the highest peer rating from Martindale Hubbell. Mr. Coyle received his B.A. degree from the University of California, Davis and his J.D. degree from the University of Santa Clara.
