Event: Microsoft® WORD 2010 for Legal Professionals: Part A: Using the “Ribbon,” Tools, & More for Legal Documents & Forms

In this Word 2010 hands-on computer class, you will learn the new backstage feature, which replaces the old office button in Word 2007. You will learn how to use the screen capture to create screen shots without third party software. You will learn how you can make your tasks easier and faster with the Ribbon, contextual tabs, galleries and live preview. You will learn how to apply styles and add building blocks in creating letters agreements, and pleading forms. You will learn how to insert headers and footers; insert dates and numbering; search and replace within a document; create envelopes and labels; and the use of shortcut keys.

Event: Microsoft® WORD 2010 for Legal Professionals: Part B: Creating Tables, Incorporating Citations and Captions, Mail Merge, Track Changes, and Applying Collaborative Tools

This course covers how to create, manage, revise, and distribute documents of all lengths. Among the topics are: performing mail merges; using Word 2010 with other programs; adding reference marks and notes; adding footnotes and endnotes; using compare documents functions; tracking changes and the new collaboration feature called co-authoring.

This course covers how to work with advanced tools. Among the topics are Macros, Blacklining documents, AutoCorrect. Find out what meta data is, and why you might want to remove it, and how to remove it, using the document inspector and other tools. We will look at what a template is and why you should use them.
