Hosted by the Cornell University School of Law. Posts unofficial versions of the U.S. Code, Code of Federal Regulations, Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, Federal Rules of Evidence, and U.S. Supreme Court cases since 1990. Provides summary of several areas of law, including criminal law, intellectual property, and tax law. Contains links to other federal and state information available on the World Wide Web. Has a "Current Awareness" section that summarizes recent developments in the law.

Judgment Interest Calculator (Excel)

You'll have to have macros enabled when you run it.

How to use:
1) Enter the total judgment including costs in Cell A2.
2) Enter the date the judgment was entered in Cell B2.
3) Enter the last day for interest to be calculated in Cell C2 (usually the day you run the program)
4) Hit Calculated Interest button. This will generate a daily list of of the balance of the judgment from the date of entry of judgment to the last day for the interest calculations.
5) Put in the amount of costs claimed on the date they were allowed.

This will cause a recalculation of the outstanding Principal and the daily interest amount based on the costs being added to the judgment.
