Check the Judge's Ruling the Day Before your Hearing!
Many departments of the Sacramento County Superior Court use a Tentative Ruling System, in which the judge renders a decision the court day before the scheduled hearing date. The tentative ruling is available by 2:00 p.m. the day prior to the scheduled hearing. Parties wishing to have oral arguments on the matter must notify all other parties, attorney, and the department clerk no later than 4:00 p.m. the day before the scheduled hearing. Otherwise, the hearing will be taken off the schedule, and the tentative ruling will become the final ruling of the court.
You can access Tentative Rulings from court's website at https://services.saccourt.ca.gov/PublicCaseAccess/Civil.
Note: Effective April 7, 2014, the Sacramento County Superior Court has a new search interface. For instructions on the new interface, read the Court's instructions (pdf) or view their introductory videos (requires Flash).
